Your deep techno-economic knowledge and understanding of energy systems will enable you to assess project feasibility, identify risks, and provide strategic recommendations that align with our clients' objectives and the broader market trends. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough analyses of energy systems, low carbon technologies and energy markets to identify opportunities for optimisation and enhancement. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive energy strategies that incorporate a mix of renewable energy sources, storage solutions, and demand-side management. Utilise advanced modelling tools and data analysis techniques to evaluate the performance and impact of renewable energy projects on the grid. Prepare accurate and insightful reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate complex concepts and findings to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the renewable energy sector to provide strategic guidance to clients. Support business development activities by contributing to proposal development, client presentations, and technical discussions. Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects and the maintenance of GHD's reputation for excellence. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above, ideally in Engineering, Energy Systems or a related field. Relevant professional experience in energy analysis, power systems, and renewable energy technologies. Profound knowledge of the UK energy market, policies, regulations, and grid infrastructure. Demonstrated expertise in energy modelling software, such as PLEXOS, or similar tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences. Proven experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
