Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate Rapid Response Therapist who shares our vision of the 'home first' approach. You will work in a large multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver a 2‑hour response as part of the National Urgent Care Response targets. Our aim is to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and prevent avoidable Emergency Department attendances by stabilising patients within the place they call home.

The OBI team provides assessment and treatment to complex patients. The role is predominantly crisis response work in patients’ own homes, including falls response, with some opportunity for short‑term rehabilitation where required.

Successful candidates will work autonomously and will preferably have postgraduate experience with older adults and acute medicine/falls. Excellent communication skills and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise and problem‑solve, are essential.

The role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills by supervising junior staff and students.

This is a 7‑day service, covering bank holidays and weekends.

Please ensure that when applying you demonstrate how your knowledge and skills are transferable specifically to this role.

For further information, contact Gemma Coleyshaw on 07816 117263.
