About the role
We are looking for a Revenue Analyst to join our Customer Connections Team based in Warwick working on a hybrid basis.
The purpose of the Revenue Analyst is to own and apply the complex charging calculations, methodologies, and onward customer billing so that Electricity Transmission (ET) can accurately recover and forecast its licensed revenues (~£1.8bn per annum, across multiple revenue streams, including charges for thousands of assets in ~250 customer connection agreements; interpreting and faithfully reproducing detailed licence drafting and algebra).
You will be responsible for meeting customer expectations at all stages within the charging life-cycle (from application to outturn; and annual reviews); ensuring that robust charging and revenue processes are in place to manage ET’s financial exposures for licensed activity. Revenue Analysts will act to support the development of internal policy and/or external code changes in the wider Commercial Strategy team were these are needed to maximise opportunity or mitigate risk.

What you'll be doing
1. Act as the expert for the complex calculations to set and communicate charges to accurately recover Electricity Transmission’s (ET’s) licensed revenue worth £1.8 billion per annum, owning and improving the associated systems and processes that support this.
2. As a revenue policy expert, help Customer Connection Account Managers determine appropriate terms to be included in customer agreements to recover charges and manage ET’s financial exposure.
3. Lead across ET to ensure all charges and indemnities for electricity connections, modifications, diversions, and applications cover our costs; and are raised in accordance with the contracted terms and charging policy.
4. Oversee internal & external stakeholders on revenue policy, taking ownership for resolving charging-related disputes including making decisions in the best interest of ET.
5. Pro-actively manage charging queries; liaise with the ESO and ET Customer Connections colleagues to enable them to effectively manage the expectations of our customers, providing timely and accurate information throughout the lifetime of a project or contract, ensuring we manage expectations and avoid disputes.
6. Support the annual charge setting process on behalf of ET, including the gathering of necessary data, the publication of our Charging Methodology statement, and the refresh of Application Fee rates.
7. Assist our Finance Business Partner by developing insightful and timely internal reporting of all revenue streams; successful management of financial audits, and any regulatory reporting requirements.
8. Pro-actively engage with the code and policy teams to help identify, progress, and implement commercial code modifications as well as develop internal commercial policies.
About you
9. Highly competent in numerical and statistical analysis; and resolving data uncertainties/inaccuracies.
10. Expert user in Microsoft Excel – including analytical and data control.
11. Expert understanding of the commercial & regulatory frameworks that give force to the charging arrangements.
12. Experience of working in a commercially focused role.
13. Extensive experience of creating sound working relationships with internal & external customers/stakeholders.
14. Proven track record of running parallel processes with inputs from a wide range of parties. Experience of leading and influencing within multidiscipline virtual teams.
