Medical Negligence Fee Earner
Location: Blackburn
Contract £25,000 per annum + Bonus
A dynamic and client-focused law firm is seeking a Medical Negligence Fee Earner to join its expanding team in Blackburn.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fee earner to manage a varied caseload within a supportive and growing practice. This role does not require qualification as a solicitor.
The Role
You will handle a caseload of medical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution, delivering high-quality support and client care throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of medical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
* Taking detailed instructions from clients regarding potential claims
* Obtaining and reviewing medical records and relevant documentation
* Liaising with medical experts and preparing expert instructions
* Drafting letters of claim and other legal documentation
* Assisting with settlement negotiations and progressing claims
* Maintaining accurate file management and compliance with firm procedures
* Providing regular updates and delivering excellent client care
Requirements
* Minimum 12 months’ experience handling a medical negligence caseload
* Experience managing files with a degree of autonomy
* Strong understanding of the medical negligence claims process
* Excellent communication and client-care skills
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach
