Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable HGV2 Refuse Driver in Luton to complete refuse and recycling collections safely while helping keep the local community clean and organised.

Salary: £16.71 per hour
Working Hours: Early starts and varied shift patterns

Key Responsibilities
1. Drive HGV2 vehicles on planned refuse collection routes across Luton
2. Collect refuse and recycling from residential and commercial locations
3. Work closely with loaders to complete collections safely and efficiently
4. Carry out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
5. Report maintenance issues or defects promptly
6. Maintain accurate records of collections and vehicle checks
7. Follow all health and safety and waste management procedures
8. Provide a professional and courteous service to the public
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
10. Valid CPC qualification card
11. Digital tachograph card
12. Previous HGV2 driving experience, ideally in refuse collection
13. Strong understanding of road safety and health and safety regulations
14. Reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude
15. Good communication and customer service skills
16. Physically fit and able to support manual duties when required
17. Flexible approach to early starts and shift patterns
