We are delighted to be working alongside our well-established client in Aberdeen who is looking to grow their management team and looking for a QHSE Manager on a full-time permanent basis based in their Aberdeen premises. The successful applicant will provide efficient development, implementation, verification and monitoring of the Company’s Quality Assurance, HSE policies, procedures and guidelines in compliance with legal regulations, company standards and Group QHSE policies. General responsibilities: To take care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work. Co-operate with the organisation, colleagues and co-workers to help everyone meet environmental policies. Supervises and monitors the execution of the QHSE management system within the company, therefore: ensures that adequate training, resources and support are applied. organises QHSE meetings to keep crews and staff updated and informed of changes related to QHSE. selects and prepares training courses for personnel to improve their safety and quality awareness. monitors that all personnel have the necessary safety training, education and ongoing skills. enters contracts for QHSE/S services in compliance with relevant codes, legislation and standards (e.g. ISO 9001). Makes analyses of the execution of the QHSE policies, reports to and advises the Managing Director and Group QHSE Manager about results of activities, benchmarks, developments and ways to improve QHSE processes, therefore: monitors documentation, tracking, statistics and reporting of Near Miss/Hazard/Observation Reports, Accident/Incident Reports and corrective actions. keeps track of reporting, investigating, analysing and documenting all QHSE incidents, regulatory compliance incidents, and significant near misses. reports findings are analysed for root causes and to ascertain where improvements to practices, standards, procedure or systems are warranted. prepares a yearly audit plan, for both onshore and on board of the vessels, to be approved by the Managing Director. Co-ordinates and monitors the execution and analyses of audits, monitors the follow up on results of inspections, audits, NCRs, incidents, risk assessments, management of change, Safety Committee Reports and other QHSE related reports. Organises the yearly management review and discusses the results and action plan with the Managing Director Leads accident investigation teams, therefore: is member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT); co-ordinates Accident Investigation Teams in the event of incidents involving a high risk of injury and/or damage. analyses the conclusions of the team. Essential skills and experience: Higher Technical Vocational Education. Higher Occupational and Safety Training. Previous similar work experience in an industrial environment.
