Working as part of the Retirement Housing team you will assist the Housing Co-ordinator to manage the retirement housing service and work in partnership to develop services for residents within our retirement housing complexes and the wider community.
A key priority will be to support the Retirement Housing Officers to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and ensure they receive appropriate packages of care and support from initially assessing and planning for their needs through to organising appropriate services and social activities.
An S/NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent relevant qualification, extended experience of delivering support services for older people, experience of partnership working and knowledge of the Regulation of Care Act and National Care Standards are essential. Experience of leading a team is desirable.
With a proactive approach to work, you should understand the issues older people face within the community and have an enthusiastic and approachable nature. You will promote the use of communal facilities and recreational facilities to residents within the complex and the wider community, so experience of organising social events and encouraging participation is desirable.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
You will work as part of a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 7.30am to 6.00pm.
A driving licence is desirable due to the geographical spread of our complexes throughout North Lanarkshire area.
