We are currently looking for dedicated Joiners to join our Housing Standards Team. This team is focused on Maintenance and Improvement across the county, ensuring that our housing stock remains in excellent condition. About the Housing Standards Maintenance Team: Our team is responsible for maintaining the Council’s social housing portfolio, which includes approximately 8,400 properties. We ensure these homes meet current statutory, regulatory, and legislative standards, providing safe and high-quality living conditions for tenants. The Role: As a Joiner within our Housing Standards Maintenance team, your core responsibility will be to carry out major improvements, adaptations and work on new builds. The majority of the properties you will work on will be untenanted. Key Responsibilities: Perform domestic joinery and associated repairs Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment used Adhere to Health and Safety standards and safe working practices Participate in mandatory training and skills development Carry out repairs in other associated trades, such as plumbing You will be provided with a vehicle and will be responsible for performing daily safety checks and ensuring compliance with vehicle maintenance requirements. What You’ll Bring: We are looking for candidates who possess: Relevant qualifications and experience with all aspects of construction work including 1 st and 2 nd fix Joinery.
