Chef - £12.61p/h - Contract Catering - Work Life Balance - Warminster
Our client is a global provider in the contract catering industry that supplies catering and facility services to various sites across the UK. They are recruiting an experienced Chef for their site in Warminster. The company offers excellent benefits and opportunities to progress.
The successful candidate will typically work Monday to Friday with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a mix of shifts: Earlies 06:00–14:30, Middles 09:45–18:15, Lates 10:15–18:45. You work only 1 weekend in 4, providing a good work-life balance. All overtime is paid.
Responsibilities
* Ensure food preparation and control meet requirements in line with set standards
* Support the manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget
* Be responsible for maintaining up-to-date product and menu knowledge
* Maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control
* Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Chef
* NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications or relevant industry experience
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
