Design Engineer\n\nPermanent role\n Derby\n £40k to £50k DOE + Good pension, good holiday allowance and good benefits.\n\nThe Company\n Established more than 50 years ago, the business has been the go-to company for Heat Recovery, Direct Extract and Office Ventilation, as well as HVAC solutions and renewable energy resources (Air Source Heat Pump, Ground Source Heat Pump, Solar, Thermal etc.) for commercial and domestic builds.\n\nOffering nationwide coverage, they work with some of the largest Blue-Chip names within commerce and industry.\n\nDue to continued growth and a healthy order-book, they are no looking for a suitably experienced Design Engineer to join an established team, and be part of this impressive growth.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking within an established team in a dynamic environment, creating designs for Design & Build projects, ranging from £500k to £1million.\nEvaluate existing drawings, specifications, and project details to create final manufacturing drawings\nWork with internal and external teams and provide clear and unambiguous information relating to drawings and manufacturing.\nMeet with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss the scope of work.\nProvide recommendations and suggestions that meet budget, installation and performance objectives.\nInvolvement in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, and presentation meetings as requested.\nDocument and manage changes and ensure these are communicated to involved stakeholders.\nMaintain the CAD library and drawing register.The Person\n In order to be considered you'll need a few things in your locker:\n\nExtensive experience as a Design Engineer within a similar industry. Not necessarily HVAC, although that would be useful, but construction and D&B fit-out type environments (NOT civils).\nAn understanding of designing for manufacture and installation, and the challenges these offer.\nDetail-oriented and organised, with a passion for seeing things through.\nStrong analytical and mathematical skills, along with solid IT skills.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and via the written word, along with the ability to work with a diverse team of colleagues and customer contracts.PLEASE NOTE -\n\nThis role would NOT suit a recent graduate without extensive, real-world experience in a similar role.\n\nAlso, we are not considering applications form outside of a reasonable commute to the site in Derby.
