Job Description
We are seeking a team member to join our deli department. The ideal candidate will have food safety experience, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
1. Accurately record and assist in preparing deli special orders to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. Weigh and label products for guests.
3. Set up the deli case according to company standards.
4. Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure safety.
5. Maintain product levels in sales cases.
6. Utilize suggestive selling techniques.
7. Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock goals.
8. Check deliveries and compare invoices to merchandise.
9. Assist in maintaining deli cooler efficiency by unloading deliveries.
10. Cross-train in Meat, Prepared Foods, and Seafood departments.
11. Maintain cleanliness of the department and work area, including the back room.
12. Handle products and equipment properly, adhering to food safety guidelines.
13. Provide excellent customer service and greet guests warmly.
14. Fill orders as needed.
15. Prioritize safety at all times.
16. Promote a diverse, inclusive, and respectful environment for team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
