About the Role
You will be supporting editors and authors optimize overall publishing success and work on cross-journal projects and initiatives for Cell Press. This is a full-time role, and the hiring locations are the UK or Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
1. Assessing submitted research papers and guiding them through peer review;
2. Working collaboratively with Cell Press editors on handling of Multi-Journal Submission manuscripts;
3. Supporting authors through the process of peer review;
4. Establishing relationships with researchers who are publishing with our journals;
5. Building effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond.
6. Contributing to broader Cell Press initiatives to shape the future of science communication.
Requirements
7. Have a PhD in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline (life or medical sciences), with a research background in cancer and/or immunology;
8. Have broad scientific interests and a desire to learn;
9. Have great teamworking and communication skills and a collaborative problem-solving mindset;
10. Talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them
11. Have an interest in digital communication and publishing trends;
12. Have an interest in engaging with the scientific community
13. Ability to work successfully in a diverse global team.
