As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model as you lead by example to embody the quality of supreme kindness in every aspect of your work in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities
* Ensure residents’ care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably, promoting a sense of choice and independence for residents.
* Support a range of duties including nursing tasks delegated to you, reporting accidents, and spending time with residents who are demonstrating symptoms of dementia, always prioritising wellbeing.
* Assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks under the supervision and guidance of a qualified nurse.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care (or working towards)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care where you have been a Senior Carer or similar position with leadership responsibilities, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift.
* Knowledge and understanding of the person-led care planning process and the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and to seek appropriate advice, report concerns, and escalate if action is not taken. Colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in related areas.
