Licensing Officer – Walsall Council
Contract Length: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week

Walsall Council is currently seeking a Licensing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a local authority setting and support the effective operation of licensing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with licensing legislation and local policies.
2. Process applications for various licences, permits, and registrations.
3. Conduct inspections, investigations, and liaise with stakeholders including members of the public, businesses, and other agencies.
4. Maintain accurate records and provide high-quality administrative support.
Requirements:
5. Previous experience in a similar licensing or regulatory environment.
6. Excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
7. Ability to interpret and apply legislation and guidance.
8. IT literate and confident in using databases and MS Office.
