Due to continued growth and additional needs within Early Years, the school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team. Role Purpose The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support children aged 3–5, helping them develop confidence, independence, and essential early learning skills. You will support both teacher-led activities and child-initiated learning and provide targeted support to pupils who require additional help. The role also involves supporting children with SEN, EAL, speech and language delay, and emotional or behavioural needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning and promoting positive early school experiences. Key Responsibilities Support EYFS curriculum delivery through play-based learning Provide one-to-one and small group support for targeted interventions Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and early maths activities Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies Support classroom routines and transitions throughout the day Assist with indoor and outdoor learning activities Observe, assess, and record children’s progress Work closely with teachers, EYFS staff, SENCO, and parents Support personal care needs where required Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be reliable, nurturing, and enthusiastic, with a strong interest in Early Years education.
