Job Description
Location: Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home, 9 Ballyheifer Road
Macklin Care Homes is recruiting Dayshift Care Assistants to work at Milesian Manor Care Home in Magherafelt. This role supports nursing staff and residents' social, emotional, and physical needs according to the Patient Charter of Rights and Nursing Home Minimum Standards.
Professional Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, eating and mobility.
* Deliver excellent quality, person‑centred care to all residents.
* Enrich residents’ lives through the delivery of activities.
* Update and maintain accurate records in line with patient care.
* Support the nursing team with compliance policies and procedures.
* Provide flexible one‑to‑one care as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Deliver a high standard of resident care.
* Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills.
* Communicate and collaborate cooperatively with other staff.
* Work under pressure and use own initiative.
* Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and attention to detail.
* Possess a good standard of verbal and written English.
* Be eligible to work in the UK.
Required & Desired Criteria
* Communicate effectively with elderly residents.
* Work set hours and be flexible to meet the organisation’s needs.
* Show good command of written and spoken English.
* Be in good general medical health.
* Current NVQ in care (desired).
* Knowledge of the Care of the Elderly Patients Charter of Rights.
* Experience in a caring setting.
* Experience with moving and handling patients.

Contract & Salary
* Full‑time.
* From £13.12 to £17.12 hourly.
