The Front of House Supervisor plays a key leadership role in delivering an exceptional member and guest experience at our high-end golf club. This position oversees daily clubhouse food and beverage operations, supports the front-line service team, and ensures that our standards of hospitality, presentation, and professionalism are consistently upheld. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong service background, excellent communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to high level guest care.
This post is a 45 hour per week role.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise day-to-day front of house operations, ensuring smooth service throughout the lounge, dining room, bar, terrace & events.
* Coordinate daily shift plans, staff assignments, and service flow in alignment with expected business volume and club events.
* Maintain an exceptional atmosphere of cleanliness, organisation, and service readiness at all times.
Guest Experience
* Provide a warm, professional, and personalised welcome to members and guests.
* Resolve member or guest concerns promptly and discreetly, ensuring satisfaction and protecting the club's reputation for excellence.
* Anticipate guest needs, delivering proactive and attentive service aligned with hospitality standards.
Team Support & Training
* Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and ongoing development of service staff.
* Lead by example with polished service etiquette, product knowledge, and a member-first mindset.
* Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistency and professionalism.
Standards & Compliance
* Uphold all service standards, club policies, and licensing regulations.
* Ensure accurate cash handling, POS procedures, and end-of-day reconciliation.
* Support adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards across all areas of food and beverage service.
Collaboration
* Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, and Events team to deliver seamless service for dining, tournaments, private events, and special functions.
* Participate in regular team meetings and provide input on operational improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a top end hospitality, hotel, golf or similar private members' club.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organizational abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
* Knowledge of premium wines, spirits, and dining etiquette preferred.
* A passion for delivering outstanding hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and key club events.
* A personal licence.
