About the role
Raytheon UK’s Courseware and Media Development Capability (CMDC) seeks Instructional Designers to support training development of training materials.
Responsibilities
* Produce engaging Articulate Storyline builds for customer’s training courses following the Courseware / Media production process, Development Manual, and Style Guide.
* Create courses that exploit effective asset management and workflow, including visualising and planning content and media along a timeline.
* Ensure instructional materials align with best practices and internal quality standards, and comply with Raytheon and customer policies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders outside CMDC to gather technical information needed for media requirements.
* Work independently and within a fast‑paced team, managing multiple projects in a deadline‑oriented environment.
* Assist other Raytheon areas as required and help champion a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities for oneself and colleagues, supporting a high degree of flexibility and possible travel within the UK.
Qualifications
* Experience designing, developing, and implementing training solutions in Articulate Storyline.
* Solid understanding of instructional design theories and adult learning principles.
* Ability to interpret technical and non‑technical information and translate it into visual media and animations.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
* Organised, self‑motivated, and capable of multitasking in a deadline‑oriented environment.
* Valid SC security clearance (or able to qualify).
* Desirable: Experience with Moodle or other LMS, prior development of high‑quality digital learning courses, animation asset management, and knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
