Are you a natural communicator with a flair for engagement? Do you want to make a meaningful difference to protected coastal wildlife, such as beach-nesting and wintering birds, in one of the UK’s most amazing coastal landscapes?

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and people-focused Project Officer to help us inspire, inform, and connect with communities and activity groups across the Norfolk Coast Protected Landscape.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, dedicated team working to protect and enhance a unique and beautiful part of the country - where nature, heritage, and sustainable livelihoods go hand-in-hand.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Engagement Project Officer, you’ll bring our award-winning identity to life across a range of outreach and communication projects. You will:

1. Play a key part in raising awareness and encouraging positive behaviours around our most vulnerable wildlife, particularly beach-nesting and wintering birds that depend on Norfolk’s unique coastal habitats.
2. Work closely with landowners, land managers, and local communities to promote best practices and positive behaviours in our protected landscapes.
3. Develop and roll out clear, inclusive, and consistent signage around sensitive areas.
4. Lead the planning and delivery of outdoor nature-based events that inspire and engage different stakeholders, such as dog-walkers, schools, watersports users, and more.
5. Create compelling content for social media, newsletters, and publications to support the wider work of the Norfolk Coast Protected Landscape and our partners.
6. Deliver our Communications Strategy with creativity and care.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

* Skilled in engagement - comfortable leading events and talking to diverse audiences
* Experienced in project delivery, with the ability to manage multiple strands of work
* Confident creating accessible and inclusive campaigns
* A great team player with the ability to build strong partnerships across sectors
* Experienced in engaging with volunteers and developing volunteer networks
* Interested in protecting coastal wildlife, particularly beach-nesting and wintering birds

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares - about people, place, and making a difference for our species and landscapes.

What We Offer

* A flexible working environment - with the opportunity to work from our offices (in Holt or Norwich), partner sites/premises around the North Norfolk coast, and from home when appropriate
* A supportive culture of learning and professional development
* A competitive salary and excellent pension scheme
* The chance to shape how people connect with and care for one of England’s most cherished coastal areas
