We are looking for a highly organised and analytical Production Planning & Scheduling Specialist to join our manufacturing operations team in Great Yarmouth.
This is a key role responsible for developing and executing production plans that optimise capacity, materials, and operational resources while supporting on-time delivery and business performance.You will work cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure production schedules remain aligned with demand, operational priorities, and customer expectations.
The role also provides leadership across planning systems, process improvement initiatives, and ERP data integrity, while managing a small team within materials and logistics operations.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage mid- to long-term production plans aligned to capacity and material availabilityLead daily and weekly production scheduling activities to support operational continuity and customer delivery targetsAct as the functional lead for ERP planning systems, ensuring effective utilisation and strong data integrityCollaborate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and commercial teams to align production plans with business prioritiesIdentify production bottlenecks and constraints, proactively adjusting plans to mitigate operational risksDrive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, tools, and workflowsDevelop and maintain planning models, reporting tools, and scenario analysis capabilitiesMonitor and report KPIs including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and capacity utilisationSupport Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and demand-supply balancing discussionsTrain and support stakeholders to improve ERP adoption and master data accuracyProvide leadership and support to Materials & Logistics and Goods-In Inspection teams________________________________________About YouYou will be a proactive and detail-oriented planning professional with strong manufacturing and operational planning experience. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability are essential.
Essential RequirementsBachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related disciplineProven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of capacity planning, material planning, and production workflowsExperience using ERP and production planning systemsAdvanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret operational dataStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to identify constraints and implement practical planning solutionsContinuous improvement mindset with a structured and analytical approach
