Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Hartlepool, County Durham
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead and support a range of capital and revenue projects. You'll be instrumental in developing long-term engineering strategies, implementing new technologies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. From feasibility studies to commissioning, your work will span the full project lifecycle.
What you'll be doing:
* Develop and deliver engineering projects aligned with site strategy.
* Lead safety studies including risk assessments, HAZOP and FMEA.
* Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC, EN and BS standards.
* Support change management and documentation processes.
* Collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous improvement.
What you'll need:
* HNC/HND with 7+ years' experience or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in an industrial setting.
* Strong CAD skills (2D/3D modelling).
* Analytical mindset with good computing and statistical skills.
* Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
* Awareness of CDM regulations and project management techniques.
