Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Care Manager with a strong background in care to join our team in Weston super Mare. As our Care Manager, you will oversee the growth and quality of our care services, ensuring we deliver outstanding care.
The role is based at our office on Worle High Street and is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year, dependent on experience.
Key responsibilities include converting new client inquiries, care planning, conducting risk assessments, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, managing a team to deliver exceptional service, and overseeing quality assurance processes.
Job Purpose
The Registered Care Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Home Instead, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
The Role
1. Collaborate with the Franchise Owner to develop high-quality domiciliary care services.
2. Promote person-centered care and high standards of service.
3. Manage client acquisition processes from initial contact to service commencement.
4. Conduct care planning and risk assessments in compliance with legal requirements.
5. Implement and monitor quality control systems and conduct quality assurance visits.
6. Review and improve operational processes continuously.
7. Handle complaints and incidents, investigate issues, and implement improvements.
8. Ensure timely reporting to regulatory bodies such as CQC and others.
9. Foster a positive organizational culture aligned with Home Instead’s values.
10. Oversee governance of delegated healthcare activities, ensuring staff competence and adherence to guidelines.
11. Manage safeguarding procedures and act as or support the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
12. Engage with the local community and digital platforms to promote the service.
13. Support strategic growth, including complex care services.
14. Lead, motivate, and develop the care team, ensuring safe staffing levels.
15. Assist with recruitment, training, disciplinary actions, and HR processes.
16. Manage payroll, budgets, and data integrity across platforms.
17. Stay informed about legislative changes affecting care services.
18. Identify personal development needs and undertake relevant training.
19. Ensure compliance with equality and diversity policies.
20. Perform other duties necessary for business success.
Due to the need to support the On-Call function and travel for assessments, a valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications Essential Criteria
* Preferably a registered nurse, or willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
* Extensive care experience with a proven track record of excellent customer service.
* Experience in leading, training, and managing a domiciliary care team.
* Strong knowledge of compliance and legislative standards.
* Proficiency in care assessment and planning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire teams and build relationships.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
