We are looking for a keen, committed and enthusiastic Trust Doctor (ST1 equivalent) to join the Obstetric and Gynaecology Team at St Richards Hospital for the next 12 months.
The role involves working alongside consultants, registrars, and SHO doctors to provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecology care to patients in Chichester and surrounding areas.
This position is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in this specialty.
Main duties of the job
* Work on the SHO rota with approximately 9 other resident doctors, including ST1 O&G trainees, foundation trainees, and GP trainees.
* Cover on-call duties (daytime, nights, weekends) on a rolling basis.
* Assist in outpatient clinics, theatre, and work on gynaecology and postnatal wards.
* Help run early pregnancy clinics.
* Participate in learning, teaching, and specialized areas of obstetrics and gynaecology such as urogynaecology, gynae-oncology, and maternal medicine.
* Support audits and quality improvement projects, and present at meetings and journal clubs.
* Attend governance days, multidisciplinary meetings, and safety meetings.
The role is full-time (40 hours per week) for 12 months, supporting the development of future specialists.
