Job Summary
This role is for a qualified accountant who will act as a finance business partner within a dynamic healthcare organisation. The successful candidate will support corporate and primary care directorates and lead finance for a portfolio of secondary healthcare contracts.
Job Responsibilities
The Finance Business Partner (FBP) will:
* Act as a strategic partner, providing high quality financial advice and robust strategic management to senior managers.
* Lead and deliver on the organisational financial position, including implementation of the 3‑year financial plan.
* Provide leadership, strategic and professional management across the Health Board, supporting senior finance executives and managers.
Qualifications
* CCAB qualified.
* Further specialist training and experience, e.g. NHS Finance Academy.
* Master's degree level education or equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Evidence of planning and implementing long‑term strategy.
* Evidence of continual professional development.
Experience
* Significant experience at a strategic senior level within a large, complex organisation.
* Experience delivering challenging financial plans including large cost‑reduction/savings programmes.
* Understanding of the political agenda for health and social care.
* Experience planning and implementing long‑term strategy.
* Evidence of successfully introducing service improvement or managing significant organisational change in a complex environment.
* Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating, managing and developing teams and working with representatives and trade unions/professional organisations.
Desirable
* Experience working across various public and private organisations.
* Experience working within organisations at a strategic/board level, leading teams within the financial sector.
* Evidence of developing and interpreting policies from national guidance.
Hybrid Working Model
Each team member works from the office in Bronllys at least two days per week.
