Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, payroll, and compliance within a student-focused organisation. The role supports senior leadership with financial planning and ensures strong financial management practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare monthly management accounts and support annual financial statements.
2. Manage cash flow, reconciliations, and financial records.
3. Support budget setting, forecasting, and financial planning.
4. Provide financial advice to budget holders and senior management.
5. Oversee financial operations, including invoicing, payments, and system management.
6. Manage monthly payroll processes.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and financial control requirements, including statutory returns and VAT.
8. Maintain risk controls, asset registers, and financial procedures.
9. Line manage finance staff and promote effective financial practices across the organisation.
