PBS Associate Practitioner Full Time We are seeking a cadidate with experience in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern. Knowledge and background of PBS is also important for this role. You'll work between Milton Keynes and St.Albans and will need to be a driver with use of a vehicle. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Practice Development Team as a PBS Associate Practitioner. Working under the supervision of Emma Rickard, Lead PBS Practitioner, you'll help to develop, model and implement PBS strategies and interventions. You need to be comfortable and confident to support people with significant behaviours of concern, working to increase their quality of life as well as supporting team members and developing their skills. Core responsibilities Support teams to implement PBS, including the reduction of restrictive practices, offering guidance, practical support and specifically supporting managers and senior workers providing on-site PBS practice leadership. Build trust and good rapport with the team members, the people we support and their key stakeholders. Support the implementation of capable environments standards in every service. When required, contribute to assessment, and lead on the transition and initial direct support of people with significant behaviours of concern, and develop the skills of the service team to be able to support them. Support team members to develop skills and assess their competence, including coaching using the demonstrate, observe, feedback model. Contribute to the completion of Functional Assessments of behaviours of concern and the production of behaviour support plans under the supervision of a Lead PBS Practitioner. Work alongside support workers, to implement strategies to test their validity and effectiveness. Contribute to incident and trend analysis under the supervision of a Lead PBS Practitioner. Prepare accurate information and high quality reports.
