Are you ready to ignite the future of logistics together? Join us as a National Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement and Carrier Manager. You will be responsible to develop the carrier portfolio, establish regular carrier business reviews and drive procurement programs designed to enhance KuehneNagel's competitiveness and profitability. In Addition, you will be responsible to manage the current gateway within the respective national and identify new gateway set ups if deemed beneficial for the company How you create impact - Leading the National Gateway and Procurement team and in accordance with the Global Gateway framework by GA-Xteam. Ensure operational excellence and development focus through-out the involved teams. - Establish and monitor KPI´s for the Gateway (s) in accordance with the corporate framework provided by GA-X team.Manage and own the Gateway P/L and implement necessary measures to control costs and meet overalltargets. - Evaluate, propose, and implement strategy for possible new Import and Export Gateways including "virtual" solutionswithout KN staff physically on-site - Review the current Gateway network and operations and make recommendations that would enhance/streamlineour operations in line with the Global Gateway standard - Assess line haul programs feeding/de-feeding the Gateways to look for areas of alignment and leverage that will drivefor faster transit times and cost benefits - Develop effective means to support business growth, through involvement in RFQs, frequent exchange with the DandSales community, participation in customer meetings as required to support discussion about capacitymanagement, routings, etc. - Build and maintain long-term relationships with our airline partners and with the GSA community and scout anddevelop new ones - Negotiate with and select carriers based on demand, rate, capacity, and service quality What we would like you to bring - Extraordinary leadership skills - Excellent negotiation skills - Strong decision making capabilities and high accountability; ability and willingness to decide on the basis of agreed criteria and to make decisions also in difficult situations - Ability to recognize industry and market trends and developments and to translate them into profitable business opportunities - In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms What's in it for you If you would like to become a valued member of our team, we will make sure that you're rewarded for your commitment and expertise.
