Job summary
We are delighted to be partnering with other health and social care providers in the new initiative HOPE HAVEN at Whitehaven.
We are looking for an HCA to cover 4 clinics per week (6 hrs each, flexible options available).
Hope Haven will be open 24/7, providing services under one roof to transform mental health care locally. It will bring together specialist health, social care, and community services to support mental health and wellbeing in the community.
The service aims to launch on a mobile basis as soon as possible.
We seek compassionate individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of those with mental health and wellbeing needs. Knowledge of mental health presentations, flexibility, and strong communication skills for working across organizations as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract until March 2026, with potential for extension. Additional hours are available in other community initiatives such as Asylum clinics and Senhouse Health Matters, with clinics held at various sites across Copeland.

Main duties of the job
Collaborate with CNTW, Every Turn, Home Group, ICanWeCan, and other third sector providers to support individuals across Whitehaven and Copeland.
Provide physical health care support through GP, ACP, PN, and HCA clinics, including managing complex physical issues, prescribing, medication reviews, and blood tests. Educational sessions on topics like Healthy Hearts, Menopause, and NHS digital access will also be offered.
This is an evolving service, and we encourage full engagement from successful candidates in its development.
