Arcus FM are recruiting within our facilities maintenance team and are looking for a skilled and reliable Fabric Specialist to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services across a portfolio of multi-site clients.

What’s in it for you:

What You'll Be Doing


As an Arcus Building Fabric Specialist, you’ll work across multiple client sites in your area, ensuring facilities are safe, fully functional, and well-maintained.

This is a mobile role that offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to showcase your expertise in a range of building fabric tasks.

You’ll be expected to:

7. Deliver effective repairs and maintenance work to a high standard
8. Respond to reactive issues promptly and professionally
9. Maintain clear documentation using handheld IT systems
10. Support customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery

What We're Looking For


Essential:

11. Time-served, hands-on experience in multiple trades (ideally in a fabric maintenance role)
12. NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant trade
13. A valid UK driver’s licence
14. Confidence working independently and in customer-facing environments
15. Comfortable using handheld IT equipment for work management and documentation
16. Solid knowledge of health & safety standards

Desirable:

17. Experience in retail or multi-site maintenance environments

Core trade skills we’re looking for include:

18. Patch plastering and rendering
19. Carpentry and joinery
20. Floor and wall coverings (tiling, vinyl etc)
21. Basic plumbing
22. Changing locks and fittings
23. General fabric repairs

While you don’t need to be an expert in every area, we’re looking for someone with solid, practical experience across a range of disciplines.

Additional info:

24. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
25. On-call rota: 1 in every 4 weeks
