Vehicle Technician / Fast Fit Technician Required in Leatherhead
1. Location: Car Service Centre, Leatherhead, Surrey
2. Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (No Weekends!)
3. Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (Depending on Experience) + Performance Bonuses
4. Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Our client, a well-established and reputable Car Service Centre in Leatherhead, Surrey, is seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician / Fast Fit Technician to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
5. Vehicle Servicing: Perform routine checks and maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
6. Diagnostics & Repairs: Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and repair or replace defective parts and components.
7. Wheel Alignment: Operate and maintain proficiency with Hunter wheel alignment equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient service.
8. Customer Communication: Liaise with Service Receptionists to provide clear, concise updates on required repairs and maintenance.
9. Record Keeping: Accurately maintain detailed service and repair records for compliance and customer satisfaction.
10. Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
11. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to maintain a productive and professional workshop environment.
Candidate Requirements:
12. Qualifications: Ideally qualified to City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent.
13. Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Fast Fit Technician in a busy garage or service centre.
14. Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Hunter wheel alignment equipment (training provided if needed). Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including hybrids and electric vehicles (desirable).
15. Location: Must live in or be able to commute to the Leatherhead, Surrey area.
16. Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
17. Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence preferred.
