This position, starting January 2026, is designed for a reflective KS1 Teacher who prefers focused contact time but wants to remain an integral part of the KS1 team. The successful KS1 Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026. A week in the life - KS1 Teacher Mornings: the KS1 Teacher delivers systematic phonics, guided reading and focused maths sessions as the KS1 Teacher, prioritising progress and confidence. Afternoons: the KS1 Teacher records observations, plans next steps and liaises with families as the KS1 Teacher. On non-contact days the KS1 Teacher participates in moderation and CPD sessions, including workshops scheduled to begin in January 2026. KS1 Teacher Responsibilities The KS1 Teacher will: plan and teach sequenced literacy and numeracy as the KS1 Teacher; use formative assessment to inform interventions as the KS1 Teacher; support transition activities and work closely with teaching assistants as the KS1 Teacher. The KS1 Teacher will prepare assessment evidence for termly reviews following January 2026. KS1 Teacher Requirements We seek a KS1 Teacher with QTS or equivalent, strong KS1 expertise and the ability to differentiate effectively. The KS1 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 in this part-time capacity.
