Role Overview
The post holder is required to provide a full administrative and secretarial service to a multi-disciplinary team, including the management of information systems and the coordination of the clinical referral system.
Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive administrative support to multidisciplinary clinical teams.
* Manage information systems and ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.
* Coordinate clinical referral processes, ensuring timely and effective communication with relevant parties.
Required Qualifications
* RSA3/SVQ3/NC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
* Excellent organisational, time‑management, oral and written communication skills.
* Minimum two years of secretarial experience in a comparable role.
* Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
Desirable Qualities
* Note‑taking at meetings.
* Previous NHS experience supporting a clinical team.
* Working knowledge of database systems.
* Experience with NHS databases such as NHS Trak, Winscribe, SSTS, Pecos.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Willingness to cover annual and sick leave where required.
Contract Details
* Permanent
* Full‑time
* 37 hours per week
Location & Working Pattern
* Based at Health Centre Administration, HMP Shotts.
* Monday to Thursday 9 am–5 pm, Friday 9 am–4:30 pm.
