Toolmaker About the Role We are looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, youll be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds used across our production processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven machining experience who takes pride in precision work and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD designs, and specifications Manufacture, repair, and maintain tools, dies, jigs, molds, and fixtures Operate manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.) Inspect finished tools using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure tooling meets requirements Troubleshoot, adapt, and improve existing tools for performance and efficiency Keep accurate records of tool specifications, repairs, and maintenance Comply with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area Requirements Proven experience as a Tool Maker or in a precision machining role Strong ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment Good knowledge of machining techniques, shop mathematics, and materials Manual dexterity and high attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as in a team Preferred Qualifications Tool & Die apprenticeship or equivalent Experience within a manufacturing industry Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and lean manufacturing practices What We Offer Structured training and mentoring program Opportunity to gain a recognized qualification in engineering/toolmaking Clear career progression into roles such as Toolmaker, CNC Machinist, or Design Engineer Supportive, team-focused work environment
