We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our Infrastructure team in Wolverhampton.
What you'll do:
1. Lead the development and updating of the main project contract programme, ensuring it is of a high quality so that the programme suits the Project’s, Skanska’s and the Client’s needs.
2. Interpret the plan to identify risk, mitigations and assist the project team to implement solutions which will eliminate reasons for delay & drive efficiencies.
3. Review supplier's programmes alongside the rest of the project team, ensuring that they align with the required planning standards and project requirements / dates. Provides assistance and guidance to suppliers as necessary.
4. Assist with the professional development of Planners and Assistant Planners.
5. Focussing the project team’s delivery against key project milestones by explaining the key drivers and follow-on dependencies to ensure delivery to plan.
What you'll bring to the role:
6. Experience in the civils industry, ideally having worked on an RDP framework project in the Highways industry in a planning role.
7. Experience of various methods of planning, programming, and progress monitoring ideally working for a Tier 1 construction contractor.
8. Construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices
9. Understanding of various forms of construction documents, contracts and specifications.
