About Treehouse Nursery
Hi, I'm Lorraine, the Nursery Manager at Treehouse. Our nursery is a place full of wonder and inspiration, where natural resources are thoughtfully used to spark children's imaginations. Every day we encourage children to be inquisitive and adventurous, helping them build confidence, develop a love of learning, and nurture a curious mind.
Responsibilities
* You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed, including covering periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps. Sometimes you’ll support a full day, or it may be just a morning or afternoon session.
* You’ll typically start most of your days with a fully formulated plan, though this may be adapted as circumstances call for it – pivoting is a regular part of childcare.
* You’ll facilitate hands‑on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games to keep attention spans engaged while working within the EYFS standards.
Qualifications & Skills
* Level 2 or above qualification in early years or relevant early years experience, or equivalent.
* Experience as an Early Years Educator (nursery nurse/practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
* Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
* A natural, nurturing, open, warm and positive outlook, with a genuine care for learning and education standards in the UK.
* Alignment with Storal values of responsibility, openness, and working together.
Benefits for You
* Enhanced holidays, paid sick pay, extra wellness day off (yearly), and salary advance through Pay Captain.
* Childcare discount plus funding, compassionate leave, and enhanced maternity leave.
* Health & wellness support including gym discounts, free movie tickets, and partnerships with Vitality & Peppy.
* Personal development opportunities such as micro‑learning, financial stability tools, and the Storal Support Fund.
* Community engagement through term‑ly inset days, a team member app, and Storal Awards.
Safeguarding and Standards
Storal sets the highest standards when it comes to safeguarding, the welfare of children, and creating a work environment that encourages feedback, discussion, and resilience. We take our role in the safety of children, families, and our team extremely seriously. As governed by the EYFS, we have a designated safeguarding lead in each setting and all staff (and volunteers) complete thorough compliance checks prior to employment, including employment references and DBS checks.
