A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our specialist academy school in Bromley. If you are experienced in supporting students with a range of special educational needs and are looking for a rewarding position where you can make a real difference, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs.
* Support students in both small group and one-to-one settings, ensuring a personalised and inclusive learning experience.
* Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the evolving needs of students.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all students feel valued, supported, and confident.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally within a specialist or alternative education setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
