Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) A growing UK laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to support the safe and compliant manufacture of pharmaceutical products. Working closely with the Lab Manager and Compounding Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring treatments are produced to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform accuracy and quality checks on manufactured batches against specifications Verify calculations, raw material data, and electronic batch records Investigate manufacturing deviations and non-conformances Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for failed batches or near misses Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and equipment Maintain accurate batch documentation and SOPs Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory requirements Requirements Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Knowledge of GMP and regulated laboratory environments Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills Experience with quality systems, near miss reporting, and process improvement Buttercups mentoring experience (desirable) Application If you’re a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician looking to play an important role in maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical quality and patient safety, we’d love to hear from you.
