Hays are currently partnered with a boutique SME Consultancy who are currently looking for a Chartered Business Rates Surveyor with 1-3 Years PQE experience. The role is open to people with specialist asset experience across Retail,mercial or Leisure. Thepany are offering hybrid/ flexible working as well as continued professional development towards Senior/ Associate level.
Your new role
1. Valuation & Analysis:Undertake rating valuations formercial properties in accordance with statutory requirements.Analyse rental and market data to support valuation assessments.
2. Appeals & Negotiations:Prepare and submit appeals to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).Negotiate settlements with the VOA and other relevant bodies.
3. Client Advisory:Advise clients on business rates liabilities, mitigation strategies, and reliefs.Prepare clear, concise reports and rmendations.
4. Maintain accurate records of valuations, appeals, and correspondence.Ensurepliance with RICS standards and relevant legislation.
5. Professional Development:Keep up to date with changes in rating law and practice.Work towards further professional qualifications and CPD requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Newly qualified MRICS (or equivalent) with a specialism in Rating.
7. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
8. Excellentmunication and negotiation abilities.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office and valuation software.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
