I am representing a friendly and well-established independent optical practice looking for a dedicated Optical Assistant or a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join a growing team.
What You’ll Do:
* Deliver outstanding service in a customer-focused environment
* Dispense and fit a wide range of frames and lenses, from classic to high fashion
* Perform frame repairs, adjustments, and styling with confidence
* Carry out contact lens teaches and promote myopia control solutions
* Work closely with a small, passionate team to ensure a smooth and personal patient journey
* Stay aligned with the latest clinical and professional standards (GOC/ABDO, if applicable)
* Engage in ongoing training and CPD to continue growing in your role
What We’re Looking For:
* For Dispensing Opticians: GOC-registered with a clean, professional record
* For Optical Assistants: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in optics, with full dispensing capabilities
* A strong communicator who thrives in a close-knit, patient-first team
* Confidence in handling both NHS and private patients
* Passionate about learning, development, and providing tailored eye care solutions
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary: OA – up to 30k depending on experience. QDO – up to 38k depending on experience.
* Bonus scheme
* Full-time hours: Tuesday to Friday (9:30-5:30), Saturday (9:30-3:30)
