About the Role
Are you passionate about precision, quality, and making a tangible impact on construction and infrastructure projects? Heidelberg Materials Technical UK is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to support our commitment to excellence across our Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry product lines.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation in line with British and European standards. You'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform sampling, testing, and specimen preparation for Concrete, Asphalt, and Aggregates.
* Conduct preliminary investigations at plants and customer sites.
* Identify and report product quality issues, raising NCRs and Near Hits where necessary.
* Review water demands, site practices, and delivery methods to ensure consistency.
* Provide feedback to technical and operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
* Uphold and promote a culture of safety and quality across all activities.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in a technical or laboratory setting (construction materials preferred).
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and reporting.
* Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
* A proactive attitude towards safety and quality assurance.
* Full UK driving licence (essential for specimen transportation).
