The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading technical FM provider to recruit an HVAC / Ventilation Project Engineer to join their growing projects team.
This role is ideal for a Senior HVAC or Ventilation Engineer looking to step into a more project-focused position, while still maintaining a level of hands‑on involvement.
You’ll benefit from a great mix of site‑based work (approx. 75%) and office/project coordination (25%), along with the flexibility to manage your own diary and workload.
With continued business growth, there is a clear progression route into full Project Management.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of small works projects while supporting the delivery of larger M&E projects across healthcare and other critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering HVAC and ventilation small works projects from survey through to completion
* Carrying out installation, upgrades, and fault‑finding on AHUs and ventilation systems where required
* Planning and coordinating labour, materials, and subcontractors
* Supporting Project Managers on larger‑scale M&E projects
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations
* Regular site attendance and client liaison
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background in HVAC and/or ventilation systems (AHUs, extract systems, etc.)
* Experience leading jobs or delivering small works projects
* Solid understanding of health & safety procedures (RAMS, permits, etc.)
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Experience within healthcare or critical environments (desirable)
* Knowledge of HTM 03-01, SFG20, or CIBSE guidelines (advantageous)
* Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND, IOSH, etc.) beneficial but not essential
* Full UK driving licence
