Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Berkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN / SEND, including SEMH, MLD, and SLD. We are seeking tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Berkshire.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support is provided to young people referred by local authorities and schools, addressing their educational and social-emotional needs
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions tailored to the young person’s needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment status
* Engage with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* Work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer any set amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
