We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to focus primarily on our operations out of Nigeria.
Main Responsibilities
* Working with the Shipping Manager to provide logistic support to the trading team
* Liaising with our overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and colleagues in the Netherlands.
* Monitoring shipments, agreements and all related documentation.
* Checking & processing invoices for payment and liaising with the Accounts team.
* Timely and accurate entering of data to our in-house system
* Stock management – reconciliation of stock confirmation with our in-house system
* Position keeping
Skills & Experience
We are looking for individuals that are educated to a degree level in any related field. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years proven work experience within a similar shipping/logistics role within commodities or a similar environment. Candidates with commodities related experience will be preferred and must be highly proficient in Microsoft, particularly Excel. The individual will be high organised and with the ability to track and manage a variety of shipments within a busy period. They will have familiarisation with warehousing/freight and knowledge of demurrage/detention claims.
