The Finance team are on a mission to transform Virgin Media O2’s planning and forecasting processes through building automated driver-based planning models in Anaplan across all business units. The Technical Owner role will play a key part in delivering digital transformation at Virgin Media O2.
These Anaplan models will improve forecast accuracy and give stakeholders a deeper understanding into the performance drivers behind important business KPIs across the company’s P&L, giving the Finance teams the tools they need to drive better strategic decision making.
The Technical Owner will report into the Finance Anaplan CoE and Planning Automation team responsible for ensuring all Anaplan Finance models are operating smoothly and adding value to stakeholders across Finance. This first part of the role will include running processes such as month end, forecast cycles and producing budget outputs.
The second part of the role straddles both the finance and data worlds, working together with the product owners (who represent the business) and the internal centre of excellence team to ensure fit for purpose finance modelling delivery. This will be enabled by being part of a cross functional Anaplan model building squad where they can access expertise and technical support.
The role will also work closely with the Finance leaders, to ensure the models deliver consistent and accurate financial forecasts to feed into the overall P&L.

The must haves
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Data literate mindset with examples of skills transferable to Anaplan / data modelling
* Ability to lead, motivate and empower individuals within cross-functional squads to develop and deliver solutions that unlock business value
* Proven track record of optimally driving digital transformation at pace
The other stuff we are looking for
* Strong data modelling skills with experience building automated planning and forecasting models in Anaplan
* A proven record in presenting analysis to senior stakeholders to guide business decisions
* Experience in driving continuous improvement of processes and means of delivery to stakeholders, whilst also embracing and managing organisational change
