Our client, a leading builders' merchant, is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to join their growing team in Oban. The role As Assistant Branch Manager, you'll work closely with the Branch Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations. You'll lead and support the internal sales and shop teams, ensure smooth trading performance, and maintain outstanding customer service standards. Assistant Branch Manager responsibilities include: Supporting the Branch Manager to achieve branch sales and profit targetsManaging staff on the sales desk and shop floorTaking ownership of branch operations in the manager's absenceOverseeing transport management and ensuring safety complianceBuilding strong relationships with customers and suppliersDriving service excellence and efficient order-to-delivery processes What we're looking for Proven sales or customer service experience, ideally within the merchant or construction supply / building materials sectorExperience in transport management is an advantageStrong communication, organisational, and people management skillsA team-focused approach and a proactive attitude What's in it for you Salary: £33,000-£34,000 (depending on experience)Performance bonuses45 hours per weekMonday to Friday, between 7:30am - 5:00pmSaturdays on a rota (8am - 12pm) Why join our client?
