About the RoleAs a General Assistant at The Wild Rabbit, you’re the heartbeat of our luxury inn — keeping our main building, terrace and public spaces immaculate and welcoming from morning through night. From perfecting the first impression with gleaming pathways and polished interiors to ensuring fireplaces glow, cushions are fresh and every detail feels flawless, you’ll help create the exceptional atmosphere our guests return for.
Base Pay Range
£28,969.20 per annum based on a 45‑hour contract (projected salary and OTE).
Responsibilities
* Maintain pristine cleanliness across all areas of The Wild Rabbit, with a thorough morning refresh to set the tone.
* Keep public spaces, toilets and the terrace spotless and welcoming throughout the day.
* Ensure soft furnishings are regularly washed and refreshed.
* Keep the car park, driveway and outdoor spaces tidy and debris‑free – including raking gravel and clearing leaves.
* Prepare outdoor furniture, cushions and parasols (weather permitting) for guest use.
* Maintain guest amenities like wellington boots and bicycles so they’re always clean and presentable.
* Proactively report any damages or issues with lighting, furniture, pathways and décor.
* Replace internal and external light bulbs as needed.
* Ensure bin areas are clean and bins are put out on collection days.
* Restock logs and fireplaces throughout the day to keep the atmosphere warm and inviting.
* Assist with general cleaning tasks and stock organisation.
* Be proactive in supporting your team and maintaining high standards across our venue.
