Duties and responsibilities related to the Senior Sous Chef role
Deliver exceptional culinary service across all outlets, including The Montagu Kitchen, Events, Room Service, Colleague Restaurant, and the Churchill Bar, ensuring a consistent 5-star guest experience.
Lead, manage, and support the culinary team in line with business demands, maintaining high performance and guest satisfaction standards.
Maintain strict cost control and minimise waste to meet financial targets and sustainability goals.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all menus, seasonal produce, and emerging food trends to enhance quality and innovation.
Ensure all dishes are prepared, presented, and garnished to the highest standard before service.
Collaborate effectively across departments, using initiative and problem-solving skills to improve operations and guest experiences.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members to drive engagement, skill development, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Uphold rigorous hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards, ensuring all equipment and utensils are correctly used and maintained.
About you
We are seeking a passionate and driven culinary professional with proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. A solid understanding of food trends, cost control, and kitchen operations is essential, along with a proactive approach to teamwork, problem-solving, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
