You will have the exciting opportunity to partake in a variety of rotations designed to develop your clinical pharmacy skills and potentially work across different sites. The rotations include technical services/manufacturing, medicine, care of the elderly, surgery (vascular, orthopedics, hepatobiliary), renal, patient services, obstetrics and gynaecology, medicines advice, PITU (Planned Investigation and Treatment Unit), and HIV.
Key duties of the role include:
* Providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for all Royal Free London hospitals.
* Screening, dispensing, and checking medicines through main or satellite dispensaries.
* Offering medicines advice to healthcare professionals and patients.
* Providing technical pharmacy services, including final product release (tech services rotation).
* Undertaking a Post Graduate Clinical Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice within the first year, supported by structured training and mentorship.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide professional and clinical input to pharmaceutical services across various pharmacy departments on a rotational basis, completing training in areas such as patient services, renal, acute medicine, surgical, HIV, manufacturing, and medicines information.
All post holders will undertake a postgraduate diploma within the first year, supported by internal training and mentorship.
Additional key duties include:
* Providing clinical pharmacy services at the appointed hospital.
* Participating in audits, service improvements, high-cost drug applications, and drug usage reviews.
* Participating in out-of-hours, weekend, and bank holiday services, including responsibility for departmental security and providing advice on medicines and emergency supplies during on-call hours.
Annual leave starts at 27 days plus bank holidays.

Education and qualifications
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* M Pharm or equivalent.
* Completion of PGCert and PGDip.

Salary: £46,419 to £55,046 per annum, inclusive of HCAS.
