Creative Support is a national provider of social care with charitable status. We are seeking a capable and highly professional PA to support our governance and quality functions. This position offers great job satisfaction to a conscientious and proactive person. Creative Support delivers person‑centred care and support to people across England with a wide range of needs. We are also a Registered Social Landlord managing around 1,000 units of supported housing.
Responsibilities
Governance
* Liaise with the Chair and trustees to plan and schedule meetings.
* Communications and correspondence for the Chair and trustees.
* Organise meetings and send out invites and virtual log‑ins.
* Manage room bookings, refreshments, travel arrangements and payment of expenses.
* Arrange meetings between the Chair, trustees, the CEO and other officers as required.
* Make arrangements for presentations and internal/external speakers as required.
* Liaise with the Executive Team regarding preparation for meetings and any follow up.
* Take accurate and professional minutes of a wide range of meetings, including Board and Committee meetings.
* Collate, upload and send out minutes, reports and other papers for Board meetings.
* Keep records of attendance, apologies and any possible conflicts of interest.
* Maintain all records in good order and manage the online Board portal.
* Support the Company Secretary, Chair and CEO with organising the Annual General Meeting and any other General Meetings and events.
* Support the Company Secretary with the recruitment and induction of new trustees.
* Be a point of contact for trustees and shareholding members.
* Support the Company Secretary in undertaking their role and duties.
* Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the Chair, CEO and Company Secretary.
Quality
* Provide PA support for the Director of Quality and administrative support for their quality remit and operational portfolio.
* Service the Quality & Practice Committee, coordinating the submission of reports and information in accordance with agreed deadlines.
* Give general administrative support for the Head of Quality, Head of Social Care Governance and Quality Team as required.
* Collate quality data, compile reports, minute meetings and follow up effectively.
* Take minutes and provide administrative support for confidential and sensitive HR and safeguarding cases.
* Provide PA support and assistance for the Executive Team when required.
* Communicate and liaise with Head Office Teams and operational managers.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of wider corporate campaigns and programmes of work as required.
* Provide support for co‑production initiatives and Experts by Experience.
Qualifications
* Significant prior experience in a responsible secretarial or administrative role.
* Proactive, professional, able to maintain confidentiality and manage data responsibly.
* Well‑organised, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
* Good communication skills with ability to liaise effectively and coordinate the work of others.
* Willing to work flexibly, including attending evening meetings (1–2 evenings per month).
* Proficient in IT and online applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Committed to the principles of co‑production, supporting the voice and involvement of people we support in governance and quality assurance.
* Experience working for a charity, social care or public service organisation is desirable but not essential.
* Good standard of literacy.
* Must be located in and eligible to work within the UK.

This job could be full time (37.5 hours) or part‑time by agreement, subject to a minimum of 30 hours per week. This post is not suitable for home working. Our offices are readily accessible on public transport as we are based in Stockport close to the mainline train station and with frequent buses to Manchester.
