Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in supervising production lines, managing teams, and enforcing quality and safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers on the shop floor.
* Ensure production schedules are followed and output meets quality and delivery standards.
* Monitor equipment and machinery performance; report or coordinate maintenance when necessary.
* Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards.
* Train, guide, and evaluate production staff to improve efficiency and skillsets.
* Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Track production metrics and generate reports on productivity, downtime, and output.
* Coordinate with quality control and inventory departments to ensure seamless production flow.
* Resolve production issues, troubleshoot delays, and ensure minimal production disruptions.
* Maintain proper documentation of shift activities, incidents, and performance.
Essential Qualifications:
* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience (3-5 years) in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Experience in managing shift operations and handling workforce.
Skills Required:
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes, machines, and materials.
* Working knowledge of production planning tools and ERP systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Familiarity with ISO, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices is preferred.
